Idaho Falls Hiking

No, we didn't go to Idaho for the day to hike (but that would be kind of fun)! We drove 45 minutes out of Denver, met the Holyoaks, threw the kids in some backpacks (child carriers of course) and headed out. Seth thought it would be fun to expose me to the world of backpacking and packing our kids around would be a great start. I LOVED it! We hiked a little trail (well, part of a trail) and found this cool waterfall. Then we headed toward a lake and Seth and Brandon got to do some fishing. Seth caught 3 and since I've never had trout decided to cook one for lunch! I was a little nervous but it was pretty good. We got eaten alive by mosquitoes and Chloe ate enough rocks, dirt, sticks, bugs and leaves to last her a lifetime! My legs and hind end are a little sore but I am READY to go again! It was a blast!

A girl that doesn't like new clothes.. are you kidding me!

So Chloe has been wearing the same super dang cute pink dress for about 3 months. While she is so super dang cute it was time for a change. So, we decided to get her a skirt she can wear with lots of things. We found a cute shirt to go with it and I pulled out the tights, black church shoes and the HUGE SUPER CUTE black and white bow! This girl looked AWESOME to go to church. But, as all girls do at random times, she burst into tears just as we pulled out the camera to show her off. Guess we can't have it all! I don't like the fact that she is already so pouty in one moment and smiling the next. Girls...ahhh!

The other pictures with the super cute white shirt and brown pants (supposed to be capris but when your kids have stumps for legs...) complimented by my way cute bow, goes to ASHLEY! Thanks for making my kids so cute! Isn't that the cutest kiss at the end you've ever seen! Thanks Grandma Norton for teaching her!

What have we been doing?

So, we've been home for a few weeks and horrible, I know, haven't updated anything! So I'm just going to post a bunch of random picture with captions! I'm sure you all like that better than my big, long, drawn out, overly dramatic stories anyway!

Ranger ride to the ranch with a picnic lunch at Sam's Canyon and some playing in the water!

The Zoo with the Wilkins!

Belleview Park! This place has it all! Petting Zoo, train rides, a little stream to play in, play group and tons of room to run and play! It was a blast to just hang out as a family one last full day before Seth headed back to school!
